Shallipopi, the Nigerian singer, has come through with his highly anticipated album titled ‘Shakespopi’.

The singer announced the release of his second studio album across all streaming platforms via his social media pages on Friday.

“My second studio album Shakespopi is out now on all platforms. Na Shalli dey write but na Shakespeare dey shake,” he wrote.

Songs on the nine-track project include: ‘ASAP’, ‘High Tension’, ‘100’, ‘Dey’, ‘Billion’, ‘Find Me’, ‘New Cat’, ‘Start Am’ and ‘Trees’.

The body of work features artistes such as Reeha, Jeneral, Zerry DL and Tega Boi.

‘Shakespopi’ comes barely five months after Shallipopi put out ‘Presido La Pluto‘, his debut studio album.

The album’s release also coincides with the singer’s 24th birthday.

Born Crown Uzama, Shallipopi rose to fame after releasing his first single titled ‘Elon Musk’ in March 2023.

His songs have garnered a positive reception since he gained recognition.

He has also released other hit songs including ‘Obapluto’, ‘Cast’, ‘Ex-Convict’, and ‘Oscroh’.

On October 17, Shallipopi launched Plutomania Records, his record label. He also signed Tega Boi and Zerrydl on the same day.

The ‘Things On Things’ singer recently marked his first anniversary since he gained prominence in the music industry.

In February, the 24-year-old revealed that ‘Shaolin Popey‘, a 1994 Chinese movie, inspired his stage name.
