Fireboy, the Nigerian singer, has come through with ‘Yawa’, his second single of the year.

The music star announced the release of the track alongside its video via his social media handles.

In the three-minute song, the ‘Vibration’ crooner described himself as “a man on a mission” who is unperturbed by antics of his critics and naysayers.

“Man on a mission/ I see no competition/ and I mind my business/ God is my witness/ they don’t see my vision/ one in a million/ wetin dem talk say I do now/ yawa dey,” he sings in a mixure of Pidgin and English.

Fireboy has established himself as a popular name in the music industry and has won several awards for his craft.

The musician released ‘Someone’, his first single of the year, in May

Last year, the ‘Playboy’ singer said he and Rema are the “leading artistes” of their generation.

“Myself and Rema are like the two leading artists of our generation, without a doubt,” he had said.

“We came together and realized that, ‘Yo, instead of giving these fans what they want, which is beef, let’s collaborate.’ We don’t want to repeat any mistakes from the past; we just want to make money.

“The fans are still doing their stuff. They’re relentless, but we will continue to show love because that’s the only way.”
