Harrison Ford, the veteran American actor, has suffered an injury while rehearsing a fight scene on the set of “Indiana Jones 5.”

According to Deadline, the extent of the 78-year-old film star’s injury wasn’t immediately known, but it involves his shoulder.

It is understood that the injury requires the actor to take a hiatus from filming while James Mangold, the movie director, continues to shoot without Ford.

“In the course of rehearsing for a fight scene, Harrison Ford sustained an injury involving his shoulder,” a Disney spokesperson said in a statement.

“Production will continue while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated, and the filming schedule will be reconfigured as needed in the coming weeks.”

Ford, who returned to play the eponymous Indiana Jones for the first time in 14 years, isn’t new to studio hazards as he once suffered an occupational accident In June 2014.

The veteran actor was crushed by a hydraulic door of an aircraft while filming ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.

He broke his leg and was rushed to a hospital. A court ruled that he could have died from the incident.

The fifth Indiana Jones installment, which has been in the pipeline since 2008, is set to be released in 2022, with actors like Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen tapped for vital roles.
