John Dumelo, the Ghanaian actor and politician, has taken a swipe at the Super Eagles for playing a goalless draw against the Black Stars in the first leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup play-off tie.

The Black Stars were the better side in the clash against the Super Eagles at the 40,000–capacity Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Friday night.

Dumelo had earlier boasted that “there’s no way” Nigeria will win the first leg of the game.

He also vowed to trek barefooted from Accra to Lagos on Saturday if Ghana lose the match.

“There’s no way Nigeria will win today’s match. If they do, I John Setor Dumelo, will walk barefoot from Accra to Lagos tomorrow morning with my ginger on my head! Super eagles my foot!” he had written.

After the game, the actor took to his Facebook page to further taunt the Nigerian side, which he described as “Super chickens.”

Dumelo said the outcome of the game confirmed his earlier prediction that the Black Stars cannot lose the game.

“Dear super chickens, I was very confident you won’t win this game. But before you leave for N’ja, I have free ginger from my farm for you. Yours truly…John Dumelo. Son of Likpe,” he wrote.

The return leg of the match is scheduled to take place at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium on Tuesday.
