In a recent interview, Adebayo said ‘Jagun Jagun’ — which premiered on Netflix on August 10 — is a multi-billion naira project.

The actor said he used proceeds from ‘Agbeshinkole’, his previous film, to finance ‘Jagun Jagun’.

Adebayo also said he faced financial challenges during the production, adding that he sold his properties to ensure its completion.

“Jagun Jagun is a multi-billion-naira project and I cannot say the exact amount I spent on shooting it,” he said.

“I used the proceeds of Agbeshinkole to produce Jagun Jagun. I was working on not getting funded by finance houses and individuals.

“At a point, I was out of finance and because I had faith that the project would work, I sold my properties.”

In 2022, Adebayo’s movie ‘King of Thieves’ (Agesinkole) generated over N170 million in the first three weeks of its cinema debut.

He is the son of Adebayo Salami, a veteran actor popularly known as Oga Bello.

On his 70th birthday in 2022, Oga Bello was gifted an SUV by his children.
