Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, Inc, an American electric vehicle and clean energy company, and Grimes, his girlfriend, have welcomed their first child together.
Musk broke the news in a series of messages on his Twitter page while responding to fans who had asked for an update on Grimes’ pregnancy.
“News on baby?,” a Twitter user had asked on Monday. “A few hours away!,” Musk replied.
The billionaire entrepreneur would later share the good news with a picture of him holding their little boy and saying in a separate message: “Mom & baby all good.”

In response to another follower who asked for the baby’s name, the 48-year-old wrote: “X Æ A-12.”

“A picture of you holding the baby would break the internet … please share one,” another user had pleaded.

Musk also shared a picture of the baby separately in response to a follower’s request.

This is Grimes’ first child, while Musk already has five children. He has been divorced three times — twice from the same woman.
Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, had in January announced her pregnancy using a digitally-superimposed image of a foetus visible through her stomach.
The two lovebirds met in 2018 during a Twitter trend and have since continued with their relationship.
The good news also comes days after Musk had announced that he would be selling all his physical possessions over complaints that the company’s shares were priced “too high.”
