Tiwa Savage, the Nigerian singer, and Major Lazer, the American electronic dance music group, have teamed up for a new single titled ‘Koo Koo Fun’.

The feel-good, party jam was released on streaming platforms on Friday.

Major Lazer is made up of Diplo, the record producer, as well as Walshy Fire and Ape Drums, the disc jockeys.

The collaborative project also features Major League DJz, the South African music group made up of twin brothers Bandile and Banele Mbere.

It also includes DJ Maphorisa, the South African record producer and vocalist.

The song sees Tiwa crooning about her desire for unlimited fun without getting emotionally attached to anyone.

“Alhaji keep your bag, don’t come feeling, this is not why we are here. Don’t come touching me, this is not why we are, we’re are here have some fun. Keep your money, we are here to have some Koo Koo Fun,” she sings.

“You’re feeling me, me sef I’m feeling you, no need to spend your money, I am not an ashawo (prostitute), me sef I have my own…. don’t come touching me, Alhaji keep your money.”

The collaboration further stretches Tiwa’s impressive run in the global music landscape.

The ‘Koroba’ crooner has won several awards and released numerous hit projects.
