Spyro, the fast-rising Nigerian singer, has put out a new single titled ‘No Gree For Anybody’.
The singer took to his Instagram page to announce the release of the song on Friday.
“This 2024 ehn, no gree for anybody wey no gree for you to succeed oh,” he said in pidgin English.
‘No Gree For Anybody’ is produced by Mr Soul.
“If dem hold you down, make you hold them too/ And if dem show you love, make you show them too/ Sapa do you shege, try make you show am too, no gree for anybody wey no gree for you,” he sings.
“If dem life you up, make you lift them too/ If dem show you good, make you show them too/ Life wan do you one kind, try make you wise up too, no gree for anybody wey no gree for you.”
The “no gree for anybody” catchphrase has become viral in the Nigerian social media space since the beginning of the year.
Born Olusipe David, Spyro rose to prominence after releasing the hit song ‘Who Is Your Guy’ in November 2022.
On March 3, the singer combined with Tiwa Savage for the remix of the song.
In September 2023, he released ‘Only Fine Girl’. He would later team up with Simi for the song’s remix.
Spyro has also put out tracks like ‘Billing’, ‘For You’ and ‘Funke’.
