GT Da Guitarman, the Nigerian singer, has returned from his 10-year break with ‘Elody’, his extended play (EP).

The ‘Ejika’ hitmaker announced the release of the 5-track project via his social media pages on Friday.

The tracks on the body of work include ‘Ariwo’, ‘Flaws’, ‘No Evidence’, ‘With You’ and ‘Special’.

In a statement, DT described the project as a symbol of his “unwavering dedication to my craft”.

He also maintained that each song on the EP “narrates personal reflections and observations, capturing moments of joy, heartache, and triumph”.

“With ‘Elody,’ I mark my comeback to the music world after ten years. This five-track EP symbolizes my unwavering dedication to my craft and my everlasting presence in the industry,” he said.

“It is a testament to my enduring commitment to creating music, reaffirming my passion even in 2024. Each song narrates personal reflections and observations, capturing moments of joy, heartache, and triumph.

“(Congratulations) also known as ‘Ariwo,’ holds personal significance as it serves as a wake-up call to pursue my passion for singing. ‘Flaws’ explores the essence of love, embracing imperfections while striving for improvement.

“(No Evidence), born from a collaborative session at Skrippo camp, stands out as an Amapiano joint challenging investigations into one’s character.”

Born Olugbemiro Akingbogun, GT gained fame in the early 2000s with the release of ‘Eko Ile’.

He later signed under Storm 360 Records where he went ahead to release ‘The Truth’, his first studio album.
