Seun Omogaji, a Lagos-based disc jockey better known as DJxgee, is dead.

Although yet to be verified by the police, DJxgee was said to have taken his life on Wednesday, January 2.

He reportedly drank an insecticide known as ‘Sniper’, owing to alleged marital issues with his wife.

Prior to his death, the disc jockey posted a farewell message on Instagram, urging people to mourn him wearing white, saying it is his favourite colour.

He had written: “Okay there is a twist to this last respect ppl give to their loved ones when gone.

“Black as signs of sadness ..but in my case please rock white cos I love this colour so much. To all have made smiled and to those I have pissed off trust me I’m only being human.”

Following his demise, several celebrities and collaborators have paid homage to the disc jockey.

Basketmouth, ace comedian, said: “Together we created some amazing memories, you my friend….you will be missed. I can’t believe that the last time I saw you would be my very last. Rest In Peace blood.”

Veteran comedian Ali Baba said the reported suicide is hard to fathom.

He wrote on Instagram: “The Seun I know, from Odo Street, Obalende, will not kill himself. But, in the mean time, Rest in Peace.”

Wande Coal, a singer who recently worked with DJxgee on his concert, described his death as heartbreaking.

He said: ‘This is so heartbreaking! About a week ago look at you sitting right by my side, we were all smiling together on and off stage.”
