Dele Momodu, Ovation publisher, says he decided to cook in response to a challenge by Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Nigerian veteran actor, to promote gender equality.
It all started on Friday when the movie star took to his social media page to share a picture in which he can be seen washing dishes.
According to him, the move was to encourage gender equality at home by ensuring men also engage in chores considered by many to be exclusive for women.
Citing himself as an instance, RMD had explained that being the only child, he was raised by his mother with the mindset of helping out with home duties.

He had challenged Momodu and other celebrities including Banky W, AY and Bovi to also engage in similar chores in their respective homes during the lockdown.
While accepting the challenge, the celebrity publisher took to his social media pages to share a video and slew of pictures of himself cooking on Saturday.
The 59-year-old media personality also noted that he was inspired when he saw RMD washing dishes at home.
He went on to tag a number of prominent Nigerians including Kayode Fayemi, governor of Ekiti state, and Dino Melaye, former lawmaker, to join the challenge.
