Davido has taken to social media to appreciate Memphis Depay, the Dutch footballer, for gifting him a Rolex watch believed to be worth millions of naira at his birthday party.
Memphis, the Atletico Madrid striker, recently marked his 30th birthday in a star-studded ceremony in Madrid, the Spanish capital.
Celebrities from the football world and entertainment industry were present at the event.
Some of the stars in attendance include David Alaba, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Jnr., the Real Madrid players; and Paul Pogba, the Juventus midfielder.
Davido also thrilled the attendees with some of his hit tracks including ‘Unavailable’ and ‘Over Dem’.
In a post on his Instagram page, Davido appreciated Memphis for presenting him with the Rolex watch as a birthday souvenir.
The Afrobeats star claimed he has never received gifts before — but has always been the one giving to people.
“N**ga bought me a @rolex on his own birthday !!! I never receive gifts I’ve always been the one to gift Pple! I love and appreciate you @memphisdepay… also lemme get some of that hair Lool,” he wrote on his Insta Story.

Memphis was born on February 13, 1994, to a Ghanaian father and a Dutch mother.
He began his professional career with PSV Eindhoven. He won the Dutch Footballer of the Year in 2015.
He had a spell at Manchester United and Lyon in 2015 and 2017 respectively before moving to Barcelona in 2021.
He later moved to Atletico Madrid in 2023.
Memphis is also known for singing hip-hop songs.
Davido, on the other hand, is one of the prominent names in the African music industry.
