D’banj and Don Jazzy jointly established the now-defunct Mo Hits Records in 2006 but parted ways in 2012 after a dispute.

On May 2, both music personalities surprised fans after warming up to each other on social media in what appears to be a reconciliation.

D’banj took to Instagram to describe Don Jazzy as his “brother for life” and asked him to forgive past wrongs.

A 2013 tweet where the comedian Mr Macaroni hinted at the reunion resurfaced.

“I have this feeling, a very strong feeling that I will reconcile D’banj And Donjazzy,” the skitmaker’s post had read.

In a post on Friday, Mr Macaroni expressed his joy at the reunion and clarified that he is not behind the reconciliation.

“But I am so glad I can come back to this tweet and smile because Jah knows I have always loved these two with all my heart!”

Born Adebowale Adedayo, Mr Macaroni is renowned for his anti-police brutality activism and social justice advocacy.

He has gained widespread recognition for his work in comedy.
