President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the re-appointment of Ishaq Oloyede as registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for another five years.

Buhari also approved the reappointment of the Adamu Rasheed, executive secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), for another five years tenure.

According to NAN, Ben Goong, director of press at the federal ministry of education, broke the news on Friday.

In a statement, the spokesman noted that the re-appointment of both officials takes effect from August 1.

He said Promise Mebine, CEO of the National Mathematical Center, was also reappointed for another five years.

Hamid Bobboyi, executive secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), and Josiah Ajiboye, registrar of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), were also reappointed for another four years.

The statement added that Buhari had earlier approved the reappointment of Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe, registrar of the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB), for the second term of four years.

According to the spokesman, her reappointment was to sustain efforts at sensitising Nigerians on the critical role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and business subjects in the new knowledge economy.
