The 36-year-old was reflecting on the presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu,  the flag-bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in a series of Twitter posts.

Ahead of the 2023 elections, Tinubu is one of the leading presidential candidates alongside Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In his posts, the ‘Ara’ crooner argued that having a man from Lagos at the helm of affairs in Nigeria would bring about growth.

“BAT was the underdog in this politics for years .. I watched baba ascend and got where he is now … it is only right I associate with one who represents growth… most importantly, it is time the city took hold of the whole Polity, 2023 is about Lagos taking control of the country,” he wrote.

Reacting, a user expressed reservation with the singer’s opinion.

“Correct me if I’m wrong, are you saying that What’s more important to you is Lagos taking over the country more than the development of the country? Please, don’t say Lagos taking over means development,” the user quipped.

But Brymo fired back, saying Lagos plays a pivotal role in Nigeria’s socio-economic development.

“Yeah I did … because we’ve never had a president from here before, especially an ex governor from this city… and I insist, the influence of Lagos in the capital may just see the whole country to unprecedented opportunities, yea!!.. just because Lagos people are in charge!! Yes!” he wrote.
