Olubunmi Alabi, a Lagos resident, must be thanking her stars for having the courage to publicly ask Akinwumi Ambode, state governor, for a job.

At a recent town hall meeting, Alabi, a 2010 graduate of National Institute of Sports, made the bold move.

How the conversation played out

Alabi: Sir, I need a job. We have applied for coaching job but they say you are yet to give them the go-ahead. Sir, can you do something?.

Ambode: I don’t know what to say to Mrs. Alabi. Since you say you want to be a sports coach, so be it. So S.A sports, get her across and give her a job immediately.
