AGN SUSPENDS JERRY WILLIAMS OVER ‘DRUG ABUSE’

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) last week suspended Jerry Williams following his alleged involvement in illicit substances.

Abubakar Yakubu, the national secretary of AGN, said the decision to suspend Williams was to protect other actors who would be on set with him.

He said the restriction was to allow the actor to undergo proper rehabilitation.

Yakubu added that the suspension is indefinite until the actor is certified by a doctor.

“And also to protect others who will be on set with him because when someone is under the influence of drugs, sometimes he might be given arms or dangerous weapons to handle or even driving in a scene, if you are not normal, you might begin to do abnormal things,” he added.

“So those are the reasons why. We just wanted to withdraw him from filming activities so that no one would give him any job, for now, to enable him to go through proper rehab. It is indefinite until he is certified by a doctor.”

TWO WOMEN CLAIM DAVIDO IMPREGNATED THEM

Davido was in the public eye last week after Anita Brown, the US-based lady, and Ivanna Bay, the woman from France, accused him of impregnating them.

Brown claimed Davido got her pregnant and neglected responsibility. She alleged that they first met in Dubai in 2017 and dated “on and off until the pandemic.”

Bay, on the other hand, claimed she met the 30-year-old during the promotion of ‘Timeless’, his new album, in Paris.

Davido is yet to respond to either of the pregnancy claims.
