Ayo Balogun, Nigeria pop singer better known as Wizkid, has put out the visuals to his previously released single entitled ‘Blow’.
The video, released on Sunday, comes as a track off the 29-year-old singer’s recent seven-track EP entitled ‘Soundman’ and ahead of his long-announced studio album ‘Made in Lagos’.
The visuals, which portrays the nature of suburb life, sees Wizkid croon about his obsession with a perceived lover. He goes ahead urging her to blow him her trumpet as he attempts “shooting his shot” in her direction.
‘Blow’ is produced by Blaq Jerzee.
Wizkid started recording songs as a solo artiste at 11 but later signed a record deal with Empire Mates Entertainment in 2009. He rose to fame after releasing ‘Holla at Your Boy’, the lead track off his debut album.
In 2018, he had announced a forthcoming body of work ‘Made in Lagos’ which he said would be a groundbreaking solo album but later hinted he’s working with Teniola Apata, Burna Boy, and Shaydee Boi, and Demian Marley in a studio session.
He was however recently sued by Tony Tetuila, a veteran Nigerian rapper, for copyright infringement over the catchphrase ‘Fefe N’ efe’ used in his collaborative single ‘Gbese’ with DJ Tunez in May 2019.
