Spyro brought the revelation to light during a recent interview with HipTV.

The ‘Billing’ crooner said he got the advice from someone who wanted to help his music career.

Spyro said he, however, decided to be patient and trust God because “nothing good comes free from the Devil.”

“It has been a couple of years grinding in the industry and it felt like I was just stuck at a point,” he said.

“This person was obviously coming from a good place and that was why he advised that I should try checking out a herbalist. He said he would take me to somebody that can do it, that he knows one Baba that can do it.

“I think this was in Lekki Phase 1 precisely at the lounge very close to Ebeano. I can remember vividly it was a nice lounge and he just came like Omo you gats top am oh, everybody dey top am.

“I smiled, I wasn’t going to be rude because he was trying to be nice but deep down in my mind I knew I was waiting on God and I was going to be patient because I realized that if the Devil gives you something, he takes it back.

“If he gives you one, he takes 10 and there’s always a condition. I’m not about to subject myself to that kind of situation, so I told him ‘thank you very much but me I’ll wait on my God’ and right now you can all see what’s happening, God did.”

In 2022, Spyro released hit singles like ‘Who’s Your Guy’ and ‘Billing’.
