Yewande Adekoya, the Nollywood actress, has implored her fans to forgive Abiodun Thomas, her husband, amid claims that he’s been abusive and cheated on her.
On Monday, the 39-year-old thespian spoke on the rumoured collapse of her marriage in a now-deleted Instagram post.
The ‘Kudi Klepto’ star said she’s been keeping the “truth” about her marital issues private to avoid external interference.
“I know you all mean well for me, please kindly stop dragging Daddy Precious online. In the name of God, if not that I had to debunk a false narrative being told against me regarding our issue, the truth about our present situation would still have being kept private like I wanted it,” she wrote in the post.
“I beg you in the name of God, please I don’t want to be responsible for the death of anyone.
“I know he has made a lot of mistakes. Please kindly forgive him. All I wish for Abiodun Thomas is for him to finally attain the best version of himself in this lifetime, whether he is with me or not.
“He is human and far from perfect. I am human too and I also have my own flaws.”
News about Adekoya’s marital crisis surfaced online barely a week after Nkechi Blessing, her colleague, opened up about her relationship troubles in an Instagram Live session.
Blessing had accused Opeyemi Falegan, her partner, of being jobless and leading a superficial lifestyle.
