Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is accused of shooting Meghan in both feet after the duo left a house party in Hollywood Hills in July.

In October, he was charged with shooting the 25-year-old female rapper.

According to Daily Mail, the rapper’s trial resumed at a criminal court in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday.

At the court session, Kelly, who lives near the scene of the shooting, claimed he saw the Canadian singer, his driver, and Kelsey Harris, Megan’s former assistant, kicking and punching the female rapper as she lay on the ground wounded from gunshots.

The witness also claimed he thought the trio “were trying to kill” the ‘Sweetest Pie’ crooner.

Kelly further told the court that Lanez hurled “a torrent of abuse’ at Megan, using words like ‘motherf***er’ and the n-word”.

The witness also said the Canadian rapper “was going crazy. He was really agitated,”adding that “he was firing everywhere, four or five times”.

It is understood that Lanez pleaded not guilty to three felony charges of assaulting Megan with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a concealed gun in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

If convicted of the charges, he risks up to 18 years in prison plus possible deportation.

Megan had earlier described the incident as a “traumatic night”. She also said she is “extremely grateful to be alive”.
