Edike Africa has hosted the prize-giving ceremony for its ‘My Dreams Are Valid’ Children’s Day competition.
The event, held on Saturday, marked the celebration of creativity, innovation, and aspirations among children across Nigeria.
In a statement on Tuesday, the organisers said the competition aims to inspire children to “believe in their dreams and underscore the importance of quality education”.
The video competition garnered over 700 entries from talented young participants, with the top 5 winners selected to be honoured at the event.
Entries were judged based on creativity, originality, and clarity of presentation.
The winners include Alabi Aherat, Ani Greatness, Oluwademilade El-Roi Adetoro, Axcy Alaan, and Oluwatamilore Ige.
They were awarded cash prizes of N100,000, N70,000, and N50,000 as well as other consolation prizes.
“In commemoration of Children’s Day, Edike Africa organized the video competition as part of its mission to empower young dreamers and support their educational aspirations,” the statement reads.
“The event highlighted the importance of providing access to quality education for all children, regardless of their financial background.
“Edike Africa is a fintech solution designed to provide school fees financing to parents and guardians of children in primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions across Africa.
“The platform enables customers to cover their children’s educational expenses instantly and pay later, fostering a community of happy parents and happy children.”
