JAMB had earlier announced that the registration for this year’s exam will commence on January 15 and will run until February 26.

The board also scheduled the UTME to begin on March 19 and end on April 29.

As candidates commence their registration processes for this year’s UTME, here are some important things to take note of.

Things you need during pre-registration

1. Active phone number: Every candidate must have an active phone number to aid their registration. Through this number, all candidates would receive their profile code as well as their results at the end of the exercise.

2. Email: All candidates are expected to create an email for the registration exercise. They must ensure that they do not forget the password as the email would be used all through the process.

3. National Identification Number (NIN): Without a valid NIN that corresponds with the candidate’s name, he/she would not be allowed to register for the examination.

4. Registration fee: Candidates who are interested in the mock examination will pay the sum of N7,700 for their registration while those who are not interested in the mock exam are to pay N6,200. Application by foreign candidates costs $30.

5. O’Level certificate: Interested candidates must have their WAEC/NECO results to register. Those who have not sat for either exam can use the awaiting result option with the condition that they must write either of the exams this year.

2. Candidates must ensure that they have the right subject combination for the course they intend to study. The English Language is compulsory for everyone.

3. O’level requirements: A minimum of 5 credits is expected from every candidate in their WAEC/NECO result. Compulsorily in Mathematics and English and three other subjects.

4. All candidates must ensure that they register at an accredited Jamb CBT center. Failure to do so might render the registration null and void.

5. E-pin: The e-pin is important to registration and can be purchased at either the registration center, banks, or USSD partners.

It is also important to note that all candidates must avoid making unnecessary mistakes during their registration process.
