“One of my favorite things about female writers, about writers in general, about people who take what happens to them and they process it and put it out into the world is if you write, you can turn your lessons into legacy. So I am just really happy to get to do this,” Swift said.

Speaking on this year edition of Time 100, the gifted singer disclosed that she is a ardent reader of the magazine. She also commended the magazine for using its platform to celebrate influential persons across the world.

“Thank you to Time magazine for putting on this event…Every time this magazine issue comes out, every year I read it from cover to cover,” the singer said.

“Having read the story of the people who are here tonight, I’m just so thrilled, I am just so honoured and happy and in all, everything you’re doing in all these different facets, all these different ways, you’re influencing the world. You’re actually, just by my own definition, you’re changing the world.”
