Ric Hassani, Nigerian R&B singer, has come through with the visuals to ‘Here’, a track off the deluxe version of ‘The Prince I Became’, his second studio album.
The music star released the less than three-minute love-themed video, which features Reekado Banks, on Wednesday.
In the project, Hassani croons about the once vibrant love between him and the woman of his dream and how such affection is gradually fading away.
He also reflects on how the unrequited love from his partner had taken a toll on his mental health and his determination to fix the situation.
The visuals started with the Hassani in a sober mood, seated in a lonely room as he pondered on the beautiful memories he shared with his lover in the past with Reekado Banks also adding colour to the lyrics.
“We used to sit by the beach. Playing love games and watch the sunset. We couldn’t keep our hands to each other. We Going on and on on on. How we wanna spend our lives together. But now we don’t even talk no more. How did we get here,” the song’s lyrics read.
“I’m dying I look fine but deep deep down wonjo mi uh huh huh wonjo mi. Got me thinking what you do dey rough handle me. And the matter wey dey strangle me. Oh I’m talking you baby say it back to me.”
Hassani has continued to pull the strings in the country’s music landscape with several projects which are fetching him awards and recognition.
