Korede Bello, a singer and songwriter, has teamed up with Taaooma, a Nigerian online comedienne, for a skit on ‘Table For Two’, his latest five-track extended play (EP).

The less than three-minute video sees Bello and the social media celebrity sitting and chatting over a table of drink in what appeared to be a date.

The serenity of the atmosphere and their smooth conversation, however, turned to a dramatic one after Taaooma received a telephone call from her mother asking her to carry out a task in the house.

She had barely finished the call when her mother came into the house and headed for where she was sitting with Bello.

In a blink, she had slapped the two of them and appeared determined to repeat the beating when Taaooma’s father intervened.

While the drama lasted, Bello had approached the lady’s father and wired money into his account in an ostensible move to assuage him.

The move, however, proved futile, with Taaooma’s mother dragging her away from the scene, a development that resulted into a heated exchange between Bello and Taaooma’s father over the money he sent him earlier.

The body of work, released in July, featured songs such as ‘Morire’, Sun momi’, ‘Hey Baybe’ ‘Micasa Sucasa’, and ‘Table For Two’.

Taaooma, whose real name is Apaokagi Maryam, has continued to pull the strings with her several comedy kits.

She had in February dismissed claims that her comedy skits — which dwell majorly on the African concept of motherhood —   promote child abuse, enjoining people to focus more on the entertainment side of her works.
