Teni Apata, the Nigerian singer, has taken to social media to lament that she lost one half of a pair of earrings she bought for two million naira.

In a Twitter post on Thursday, the musician shared a picture of the remaining half of the earrings, while saying “I’m not happy today.”

“Lost one ear of my 2 million naira earring! Damn I’m not happy today,” she wrote.

The price of the pair of earrings has since continued to elicit reactions on the micro-blogging platform, with many users sharing their different views.

Since her incursion into the music scene, Teni has continued to pull the weight of fame with her style of music.

The talented vocalist started to gain prominence after she put out her single ‘Fargin’ in September 2017.

She finally had her big break after releasing hit singles such as ‘Askamaya’, ‘Case’, and ‘Uyo Meyo’ in 2018.

Teni was recently in the news after violence broke out while she was performing at an event in Buguma Town, Asari-Toru LGA of Rivers state.

The incident was initially rumoured to be a kidnap attempt on the musician.

The ‘Hustle’ crooner, however, dismissed the claim.

“It all happened so fast. There was no incidence of attempted kidnap. A fight started out backstage and that led to a stampede,” she had said.
