Deyjah Harris, 18-year-old daughter of Clifford Harris Jr., American rapper and actor better known as TI, has deactivated her social media handles.

Deyjah’s action comes at about the same time when her father revealed that he visits the doctors with her annually to get her hymen checked.

“I will say as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact,” he had said.

“Deyjah’s 18, just graduated high school now and she’s attending her first year of college, figuring it out for herself. And yes, not only have we had the conversation [about sex], we have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen.”

The rapper’s controversial comments attracted both kudos and condemnation after he had divulged the intimate details about his daughter’s virginity and insistence upon the annual inspections during a chat with Nazanin Mandi and Nadia Moham, the hosts of a podcast titled Ladies Like Us’.

Halima Abubakar, Nollywood actress had backed TI, stating that her own father used to do the same with her when she was younger.

Gloria Steinem, US political activist, however, described it as a “very suspicious” case of “human rights abuse.”

Prior to her exit from social media platforms, Deyjah had thanked her followers for their support during the public scandal.

She is also believed to have unfollowed her father, Tiny Harris, her stepmother, and Zonnique Pullins, stepsister, on social media, before deactivating her accounts.

TI TO DISCUSS THE CONTROVERSIAL STATEMENT ON RED TABLE TALK

The rapper is expected to be Jada Pinkett Smith’s next guest on ‘Red Table Talk’, where he will address his startling admittance that he has his daughter’s hymen checked every year.

The 48-year-old actress and movie producer opened up about her upcoming guest while waking on the red carpet at the AFI Fest in Hollywood on Monday.

“We just shot that [episode of Red Table Talk] today. And then he and [his wife] Tiny sit down and talk about how they survived, in regards to their marriage. So that will be next Monday.”
