The organisers of The Showcase, a festival aimed at spotlighting budding artistes to a global audience, have announced the date for the August edition.
This month’s festival will feature female artistes like Kaliné, Kaey, Angelika Belle, Stonia, and Gemma.
The organisers said the concert will be held on August 26 at Live Lounge, Victoria Island in Lagos.
Eshio Joseph, the convener of The Showcase, said the concert is aimed to celebrate fast-rising artistes and expand the music ecosystem.
“We are celebrating artistes, building a community, and we are in a step towards expanding and actually building that ecosystem for the music industry,” he said.
“Ticket prices are set at N5,000 for access tickets, N100,000 for a table for 3. Doors open at 7 pm, so come ready to experience music like never before.
“Expect amazing melodies, and a networking atmosphere filled with the best the music industry has to offer.”
On his part, Ayo Animashaun, the executive producer of the Headies, said he is optimistic about the festival’s growth.
“I feel really proud, and I understand the beginning …and it can only grow once it starts,” Animashaun said.

The maiden edition took place in November 2022 with over 300 guests and 17 performances from the likes of Beekay, Amahkar, Eljay, Manuel Music, Angelika Belle, Cill, and Jomanie, among others.
In July, the festival was also held in Lagos.
