SKIT MAKER ‘KILLS’ UNIPORT LOVER ‘FOR RITUALS’
Damian Okoligwe, the skit maker, was arrested last week for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Otuene Justina Nkang, who was a 300-level undergraduate at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT).
Okoligwe was also accused of killing her for ritual purposes.
He argued that he only came home to meet her dismembered body.
BLACKFACE SEEKS TO END YEARS-LONG FEUD WITH 2BABA
Last week, Blackface sought to end his years-long feud with 2Baba, his former colleague in the now-defunct music group Plantashun Boyz.
Blackface asked 2Baba to forgive him for his “wrongdoings, knowingly or unknowingly”.
He also said he is “ready to move to the next level” while urging 2Baba to do the same.
“Idibia Innocent…. I forgive you. Anything wey you do me I forgive you. Anything you have done to me,” he said in a mixture of pidgin and English.
“And anything I have done to you knowingly or unknowingly, you better put it in your mind to forgive me. I do not know wrong. And I know you know what I am talking about.
“So it is time for us to go to the next level. I want everybody to know this one. It is time to forget all these things that have been going on.
REMA DISMISSES CLAIM OF ILLUMINATI AFFILIATION
Last week, Rema refuted a claim of association with the Illuminati.
Rema’s use of bats in a short video for ‘Ravage’, his extended play (EP), had stirred controversy on social media, with some users claiming he is now part of the secret society.
Rema said the emblem symbolizes the heritage of Benin city, his place of origin.
He also attributed his success to hard work, and not to any society.
DAVIDO’S ‘UNPAID DEBTS’
Davido and Dammy Krane engaged in a social media altercation last week over allegations of unpaid debts.
Dammy Krane earlier said the singer refused to pay him for his songwriting contribution to a track.
He pleaded with Davido to honour their contract for the sake of his daughter.
“I know it is hard for rich people to pay debts but @davido if not for my sake Blooda, pay me my money at least because of my daughter’s sake – your niece if at all,” he had said.
“School fees no easy for Naija now o, na everybody de try to secure their future. Na money we want no be wahala o.”
Dammy Krane also made a mockery of Davido’s name while accusing him of “ruining” his record label deal with Sony Music.
Reacting to Dammy Krane’s allegations, Davido described the singer as “ungrateful”.
Davido said he “never got paid” for his music collaborations with Dammy Krane.
He also claimed that he “housed and fed” the singer when he was “homeless”.
Various prominent individuals also stepped forward, claiming that the singer owed them money.
One of the allegations was from Abu Salami, a businessman, who accused the music star of making threats after breaching a financial agreement related to a children football’s project.
Salami claimed Davido failed to fulfil his part of the contract, which he said was “worth over N200 million”.
Samklef, the singer, also joined in calling out Davido.
Blessing CEO, a relationship coach, claimed that Davido is yet to pay Ikechukwu Ogbonna (IVD), the auto dealer, the sum of N4.5 million for a car he bought for Israel DMW, his aide.
DAD: MOHBAD’S WIFE CHEATED ON HIM WITH ANOTHER MARLIAN SIGNEE
Last week, Joseph Aloba, the father of Mohbad, testified before a coroner’s court that the late singer told him his wife was “sleeping with another Marlian Records signee”.
Joseph told Adedayo Shotobi, the magistrate, that he and his son lived together for 18 years.
He said he did not know the exact house in which his late son was living with Naira Marley.
Joseph testified that the deceased’s landed property was in the custody of his mother-in-law. He added that the deceased often told him about his possessions held by his wife and her family.
He claimed that Mohbad’s wife put sleeping pills into his food sometimes.
According to Joseph, his daughter-in-law had been unfaithful to the deceased.
