‘Fellow Nigerians, It’s All Politics,’ a book by Simon Kolawole, has been listed among Roving Heights’ top titles of 2022.
‘The Arc of the Possible,’ a memoir by Waziri Adio, former executive secretary of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI), also made the list.
Both books were published by Cable Books, an imprint of Cable Newspaper Limited.
Roving Heights, a leading literary bookstore in Nigeria, released its latest list of the top-selling titles in its stores.
For the 2022 list, put out in collaboration with Open Country Mag, there is the main category of the top-selling 100 books.
There are also genre lists for fiction, nonfiction, poetry, children’s books, and self-published titles.
‘Fellow Nigerians, It’s All Politics’, a politics-themed title by Kolawole, is ranked in the 12th place among 49 top-selling non-fiction books from Nigeria.
It is also ranked 27th among 100 overall bestsellers of 2022 within the country.
‘Fellow Nigerians, It’s All Politics’ was released on October 3, 2022 — a year after ‘The Arc of the Possible’ which was the first book published by Cable Books.
The book encompasses both Kolawole’s published and previously unpublished articles.
The articles, totaling 61, address various issues, including leadership, the economy, and politics in Nigeria.
‘The Arc of the Possible’ is ranked 8th place among 49 top-selling nonfiction titles and 19th among the 100 overall bestsellers from Nigeria.
Kolawole is the founder of TheCable online newspaper while Adio is an ace journalist and policy strategist.
