Preye Odede, the Nigerian gospel singer, is set to hold this year’s edition of ‘The Move’ concert in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
In a recent statement, the singer said the music gathering is aimed at “changing the lives of Port Harcourt residents”, adding that entry will be free.
“The Move 2023, is not just a concert, it’s a revival. We believe God for an outpouring that will change the experience and lives of the people of Port Harcourt and all those who will be attending. This is a free event. You can reserve your seat via the website,” the statement reads.
Mercy Chinwo and Joe Praise are listed among the music ministers for the concert.
Other gospel singers to perform include Mr M and Revelation, Onos Ariyo, Noble G, Sensational Bamidele, MOG, the Ghanaian gospel singer.
Those who will be ministering are Jerry Eze, Lanre Olusola, and Grange Izunwa.
This year’s concert will hold at the EUI 5000-capacity event centre, GRA Phase 3, Port Harcourt.
“Some previous editions of “The Move” which Premiered in Accra, Ghana in 2019, were fully Sold-out! The 3,500-capacity venue, was ticketed yet Sold-out. In 2021, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State experienced an overflow as the turnout overwhelmed the biggest indoor event venue in the city,” the statement added.
“This Year, “The Move” tagged “No restriction” is billed to hold at the biggest and most prestigious event center in the south-south region of Nigeria, the EUI Center, with a sitting capacity of 5,000 and an overflow of over 500. This year, promises to be the biggest, the best yet and first of its kind in the city.”
Odede has performed at one of the biggest music gatherings in Africa including ‘The Experience’, a concert convened by Paul Adefarasin.
