Rahama Sadau, the Nigerian actress, has narrated how she missed the train that was attacked by gunmen along the Abuja-Kaduna road.

On Monday, the train from Abuja was attacked by gunmen in the Kateri-Rijana area of Kaduna.

The locomotive, which was said to have over 900 passengers on board, had almost reached Rigasa, the final stop, when it was ambushed.

The gunmen were said to have blown up the rail track after which they launched an attack on the passengers, leaving scores of people dead and injured.

There is no official figure of casualties recorded during the incident as of the time of this report.

But the attack has continued to elicit condemnation, with several Nigerians lamenting the worsening insecurity in the country.

In a Twitter post on Tuesday, Sadau said she was meant to be on the train alongside her sister but missed the trip.

“Myself and my sister were to be on the attacked train last night but we missed it. We missed it!! It could’ve been me & mine but it’s actually us… We had friends & family in that train. When is this ever gonna stop??#KadunaTrainAttack,” she wrote.

Mr Macaroni, Falz, Blaqbonez, and Mildred Okwo were among celebrities who earlier condemned the attack.
