Congratulatory messages have since been pouring in for the newly-wedded couple with family and friends taking to social media to offer words of prayers for the couple.

Joining the fray, Bashir Ahmad, the personal assistant on new media to President Muhammadu Buhari, wished the couple a blissful union.

“Congratulations brother@BashirElRufai and your beautiful wife, Halima on your wedding. May Allah bless the union and make it among the very best. Allah ya bada zama lafiya,” he wrote on Twitter.

The development comes days after Bashir and Halima caused a stir on social media with their pre-wedding photos.
