Theophilus Sunday, the Nigerian gospel singer, and Ashlee White, his wife, have held their court wedding in Abuja.
In viral pictures of the lowkey ceremony, the groom was clad in a black suit while his bride appeared in a simple white two piece with a fascinator to match.
The couple appeared elated as they held the certificate of the union.
It is understood that the court wedding was held in January.
Theophilus recently announced his engagement to White after he shared pre-wedding photos of themselves adorned in their white regalia.
Born in Kogi state, Theophilus is a graduate of the state’s university with a degree in Theater Arts.
He is well known for his spiritual chants and fiery teachings.
Sunday is also the convener of the True Worshippers Concert and leader of the 1Spirit, the Christian music group.
The singer delved into gospel music in 2021 but gained prominence with the release of his hit single ‘Adua (Prayer)’ in 2022.
He has released other hit tracks such as ‘There Is Prophecy Over Me’, ‘Out of My Belly’, ‘Take Everything’ ‘Ejona Weh’, ‘Take Over’, ‘Holy Fire’ and ‘Heart’s Cry’.
Ashlee, on the other hand, is a resimercial agent and real estate developer. She is also the CEO of Ashlee White Estates.
She oversees a non-profit organization (NGO) named Project Safe Haven.
