Mohammed wedded his partner Kalthum Bukar on Saturday at the Maiduguri Central Mosque, around the palace of Abubakar Ibn Umar Garba, the Shehu of Borno.

It is understood that Buhari served as the “wali”, the groom’s representative, who received the wife of Mohammed Babagana Zulum.

At the wedding, Buhari reunited with some former and serving governors.

Several other dignitaries turned up for the event, including Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser.
