The actors Alexx Ekubo and Nse Ikpe-Etim starred in a Netflix film titled ‘A Sunday Affair’.

The movie, created by Mo Abudu and Heidi Uys, is produced by the trio Inem King, Josh Olaolu, and Sonia Nwosu.

Set for a February 14 release, it follows two friends, Uche and Toyin, who fall in love with a third named Sunday.

Sunday is left confused in a love triangle, with the film exploring such themes as desire, friendship, and sacrifice.

As the three navigate ups and downs, the decisions they make put their relationships to the ultimate test yet.

Among the cast are Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Oris Erhuero, Uzor Osimpkpa, Chris Iheuwa, and Hilda Dokubo.

‘A Sunday Affair’ is written by Darrel Bristow-Bovey and directed by Walter Taylaur.

On the project, Mo Abudu, the executive producer, said: “A Sunday Affair has many layers of richness to the story, which I love, and I hope audiences see this as an evergreen classic and watch the film over and over again.”

Heidi Uys, the film’s creative producer, added: “We’ve had so many conversations about the complexity of love and whether it’s possible to love more than one person and to love as much as the other.

“With these amazing actors, this film gives a new meaning to the popular phrase ‘it’s complicated.’ ”
