The singer, real name Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, announced the new imprint in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

Noting that helping people has always been his “number one goal,” Patoranking also unveiled Grey C, a Nigerian singer, and Walid, a Tanzanian artiste, as his first signees.

Patoranking wrote: “Really happy to finally announce Amari Musiq. Helping others has always been my number one goal and I couldn’t be more happier to extend the support I’ve had to @officialgreyc and @walidiy.

Before becoming a protege of Timaya’s Dem Mama Records, Patoranking was first signed to K-Solo’s Igberaga Records in 2010.

In February 2014, he signed a record deal with Foston Musik and a year later, he announced that he had signed a distribution deal with VP Records.

A month ago, Patoranking and colleague Maleek Berry were panelists at the Harvard Africa Business Conference organised by Harvard Business School.
