TIWA SAVAGE BATTLES EYE PROBLEM

The songstress opened up on her struggles with eye issues. The Afrobeats star said whenever she tries to read, her vision becomes blurry. She said her eye issues started about three years ago but worsened in recent months.

Tiwa Savage said she noticed she could barely read text messages or anything in small fonts.

The 44-year-old said she recently visited an optician in London, who informed her that her short-range vision is having issues.

The music star said this prompted her resolve to get medicated glasses.

EEDRIS ABDULKAREEM AND BURNA BOY CLASH

Last week, Eedris Abdulkareem and Burna Boy engaged in a war of words over a remark made by the ‘African Giant’ hitmaker some years ago.

In 2020, Burna Boy boasted that nobody paved the way for him in Nigeria.

Eedris, in a snippet of an unreleased episode of the Honest Bunch podcast, said it was “stupid” for Burna Boy to have made such a statement.

Peeved by Eedris’ remark, Burna Boy said he blamed the people who donated money to settle the rapper’s hospital bills when he underwent a kidney transplant in 2022.

Burna Boy was referring to when Eedris was diagnosed with kidney failure and a fundraiser was garnered for the singer.

In his reaction, Eedris said it is “truly saddening” that Burna Boy will “wish me dead.”

Eedris added that he will be putting out a diss track for Burna Boy in a fortnight.

DENRELE SPEAKS ON BATTLE WITH STROKE

The Nigerian media personality revealed that he once battled with a stroke that left him partly paralysed in the face.

The fashionista said the sickness affected one of his eyes and left his face distorted, leading him to cover the affected side with his hairstyles.

He said at some point, he could not breathe well and also could not hear properly.

The 42-year-old television presenter described the period he suffered the partial paralysis as the most challenging chapter of his life.

SHALLIPOPI, ISRAEL DMW INVOLVED IN CAR CRASH

Israel DMW, the logistics manager to Davido, and Shallipopi were involved in a car accident on their way from the singer’s concert in Abuja over the weekend.

On their way back to their hotel, the logistics manager revealed that a car ran into them.

He revealed that no one was hurt in the accident. He also appreciated God and his “ancestors” for their protection.

ROBBERS INVADE PORTABLE’S STUDIO

The controversial singer lamented that his music studio in Ogun was “robbed” on Saturday.

The singer said the burglars gained access to his music studio in Sango-Ota through one of the windows.

The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ hitmaker claimed his valuable items and studio equipment worth millions of naira were stolen.

Portable also revealed that this is the second time his studio will be burgled.

DAVID OYEDEPO’S ARRIVAL AT COZA STIRS CONTROVERSIES

A video of David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church, arriving in a convoy of cars, including a Rolls-Royce, at the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) in Abuja left tongues wagging on social media.

In a now-viral video, Oyedepo arrived at the venue in a fleet of luxurious cars including Rolls Royce and other exotic SUVs.

There was also a huge presence of security personnel mounting the road on both sides as the convoy drove towards the church which was marking its 25th anniversary.

He was escorted by Biodun Fatoyinbo, founder of COZA, through the guest room and into the auditorium where thousands of worshippers waited for his arrival.

The clip attracted mixed reactions on social media.

MISH DEMISE

Michael Meshac, the Nigerian singer fondly called Mish, passed away last week at the age of 42.

Mish’s demise was confirmed by a close family member.

The Akwa Ibom-born singer who rose to fame in 2011 died in Abuja.

He was known for the hit song ‘Akwa Ibom Ayaya’ (I Want To Go Home).
