Ossai Success, the aide to Ifeanyi Okowa, Delta state governor, is always in the spotlight whenever a celebrity is in the news.

Although politics and celebrity gossips are different worlds apart, Success has continued to navigate both ends successfully and with relative ease.

For every trending celebrity, the governor’s aide has an opinion or advice.

In the past few months, he has become popular for weighing into issues affecting celebrities.

The trend has seen some social media users taunting him as the country’s “minister of entertainment” — rather than a governor’s aide.

TheCable Lifestyle examines some of the instances when Success spoke on the affairs of celebrities.

Burna Boy has been in the news since his police escort allegedly shot two fun-seekers at Club Cubana in Lagos.

The shooting was said to have occurred after the singer allegedly made advances at a lady said to be the wife of one of the fun-seekers.

Although the police are still conducting an investigation into the matter, Success argued that the singer owes the public an apology for the shooting.

In a Facebook post, he also slammed the ‘African Giant’ crooner for being “arrogant”.

“As a public figure, it’s your responsibility to take blames and apologise whether you are wrong or right,” he wrote.

“Victims are in hospital and yet his pride doesn’t want to allow him to apologise. Burnaboy has no justification for not apologising.”

  • Portable

You've nominated a mad man' -- Portable taunts Headies during apology

It is not surprising that Portable is on the radar of the governor’s aide.

The singer, born Habeeb Okikiola, has been in the news for controversial reasons since he came into the limelight.

He recently provoked public outrage after a video of him allegedly asking his team members to brutalise a young man in Ogun state surfaced online.

As expected, Success was among the first to react. In a Facebook post, Success said the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner needs urgent rehabilitation from drugs and alcohol.

He also called on people around the singer to be more concerned about him before he gets “himself damaged all in the name of fame.”

In May, Okowa’s aide also sought the arrest of the ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner after he threatened to kill co-nominees of this year’s The Headies Awards.

In a post, Success had called on the award organisers to disqualify the singer, adding that he should be arrested.

  • Basketmouth

Basketmouth: Music was my first love

Success also clashed with Basketmouth, the comedian, for asking Portable to visit a rehabilitation centre.

Seemingly rankled by his comment, Basketmouth called on the governor’s aide to also recommend such for his colleagues.

The entertainer had argued that the difference between Portable and Success’ colleagues “ain’t much”.

“That’s fine, as long you as you recommend some of your colleagues to join him. The difference ain’t much,” he had said.

Okowa’s aide, however, fired back at Basketmouth for “encouraging Portable’s misbehaviour”.

“Basketmouth is part of the people encouraging Portable to be misbehaving all in the name of fame. Can Basketmouth permit his child to behave like Portable?” he queried.

  • Wizkid

Wizkid at 31: Here are seven songs to vibe with on his birthday

Even Wizkid was not left off Success’ hook. In April, Ossai slammed Wizkid for being ungrateful to Banky W.

In April, Banky W claimed Wizkid owed Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), his label, three albums before exiting their music deal.

Banky W said he struck an agreement based on the number of albums and never talked Wizkid out of his exit to avoid animosity.

In his commentary, Success said Wizkid owed Banky W a lot and that no matter what happened during his exit from EME, he should express appreciation to his former boss.

“Wizkid became a superstar because of Banky’s dedication to his career, the fame Wizkid is enjoying today is as a result of Banky W’s involvement.” he wrote.

He once again gave a piece of unsolicited advice to the music superstar by telling him to appreciate God for using Banky W in transforming his musical career which is now global.

  • Tonto Dikeh

Tonto Dikeh dares Halima Abubakar to release names of Nollywood bullies

Tonto Dikeh is one of the most popular Nollywood actresses. She is also a very controversial figure with a penchant to stir dramas.

She was once married to Olakunle Churchill, the business mogul, and recently ended her highly publicised relationship with Prince Kpokpogri, the politician.

A few weeks after her break-up with the politician, the Federal Capital Development Agency (FCDA) demolished a property belonging to the Politician.

Reacting to the incident, Tonto Dikeh had gloated over demolitions.” It’s his cross, he should carry it,” she said.

Okowa’s aide once again took to his Facebook page to chide the Nollywood actress.

He said, “Tonto happiness is condemnable”.

  • Ini Edo

Ini Edo

Ini Edo, another Nollywood actress announced that she had a baby girl last year via surrogacy.

In his reaction, Success said having a surrogacy without knowing the father is “abnormal”.

He wrote: “Surrogacy without a known father is Abnormal. A lot of things are going wrong in our society and we are celebrating it in public but condemning it in private.

“I heard she gave birth through a surrogate without a known father and people are congratulating her and making it look like she did the best thing.

“No matter how wealthy you are as a mother, your child needs a father and should be aware of where his father came from.”

The actress later dismissed claims that the sperm donor that produced her daughter was given by a random person.
