In an interview with Pop Central TV, the rapper expressed frustration with the expectation for public figures to remain silent in the face of criticism or attacks to protect their “brand”.

He said that, like other artistes such as Davido and Phyno, he will not hesitate to respond when criticised.

“Where I have a problem is when people say that when they shoot you, we should keep quiet, all in the name of brand,” he said.

“The same way Jesus came to scatter everything, I came to scatter. See Davido, yab him, he will yab you back, Phyno, he will yab you back. You say because say I be brand. Brand for where? My brand is I will yab you back.

He said he is “nobody’s role model”, adding that he engages in behaviors like fornication, drinking, and smoking.

He added that he is not aspiring to be a role model and urged people to follow Jesus instead.

“Because you are a brand, you are a public figure, I am nobody’s role model. Jesus is there, follow Jesus. Do not follow me. I fornicate, I drink, I smoke. You want to make me your role model, you must be a dummy,” he added.

“I never came here to say I am the holiest guy but do not bring that shit to me. I feed my family with this, this is my hustle.”

Born Tochukwu Ojogwu, Odumodublvck is known for his stage performance and genre-blend.

In 2022, he signed a record deal with NATIVE Records, in partnership with Def Jam Recordings.
