Ujubuonu, 78, breathed her last on June 21, at her daughter’s residence in Abuja after battling cancer.

In a series of posts on her Twitter page on Friday, Ezekwesili said the family still remains heartbroken by her demise.

She, however, explained that the family has taken solace in the legacies she left behind and the hope that their matriarch is resting in peace.

“Today is August 21. It is now 2 months since June 21 that our #Unforgettable #Nnem took her final beautiful breath and joyfully returned to her Beloved Jesus,” she wrote.

“Heartbroken but we are daily made strong as we learn to rejoice in the hope of resurrection morning.

“Her legacy of faith, character, deep love for God and sacrificial service are the priceless inheritance #Nnem gave us. We shall forever cherish our beautiful heritage.

“We thank and bless all who mourned with us and sent words of prayer and comfort. Our hearts will go on.”

“Born on April 18, 1942, Ujubuonu, a retired businesswoman, devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, the church and service to humanity,” a statement announcing her death had read.

“Until her death, she was a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).”
