Empress Njamah, the Nollywood actress, has confirmed the arrest of George Wade, her ex-lover.

The apparently elated film star disclosed that Wade was apprehended in Liberia in an Instastory on Monday.

She accompanied the post with a video wherein Wade can be seen in handcuffs while in the company of some men who appeared to be security operatives.

“Our God is not asleep. @empressnjamah’s blackmailer finally caught in Liberia,” the caption reads.

Njamah has been in the news since she alleged that Wade was trying to blackmail her with her nude videos in his possession.

The film star claimed Wade had promised to stay by her when she lost Ada Ameh, her late friend.

She alleged that Wade, however, became abusive when he obtained naked footage of her.

Njamah’s unclad video would later surface on social media with users accusing Wade of leaking the nudes.

There were also rumours that Wade created a WhatsApp group wherein he allegedly released nudes of the actress.

In January, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) condemned the leaked nude video allegedly attributed to Wade.

The guild also called for Wade’s arrest.

“This act of blackmail calculated to smear the image and publicly ridicule her by a man who claimed to be her lover is not only criminal but also evil and unacceptable,” the statement read.

“It is worthy to note that exposing nude videos and photographs of a person that injure her right to privacy is a serious offence.

“Actors Guild of Nigeria stands with Empress Njamah on this and shall provide full support in areas of counselling to help her recover from the psychological and emotional trauma she is currently passing through.

“We have been in forefront of campaign of violence against women and we view the action of this so-called evil lover man as an act targeted at eroding her dignity and self-respect.

“We call on the law enforcement agents to apprehend the culprit and ensure he faces the full wrath of the law for violating the right and dignity of Empress Njamah.”

The film star, who had earlier accused Wade of hacking her Instagram account, also narrated her ordeal while dating him.
