David Garland and Gracia, contestants of the 2024 Nigerian Idol talent hunt reality television show, have been evicted from the music contest.

The duo made it to the top 10 but their time on the show ended on Sunday.

Before his eviction, Garland delivered renditions of ‘I Surrender’ by Celine Dion, ‘Easy’ by Reekado Banks, ‘Falling’ by Harry, and Marvin Gaye’s ‘What’s Going On’.

Gracia, on the other hand, performed ‘Lady Marmalade’ by Patti Labelle, ‘Pata Pata’ by Miriam Makeba, ‘Titanium’ by David Guetta, and Adele’s ‘Turning Tables’.

The remaining contestants are Chima, Lammy, Stevie, Lady Ruth, Maio, Mira Clear, and Chioma.

Before Sunday’s eviction, Chima impressed the audience with his performance of Stevie Wonders’ ‘Lately’, while Chioma delivered an exhilarating rendition of ‘Proud Mary’ by Tina Turner.

Stevie performed ‘Who’s Loving You’ by Jackson 5, while Lady Ruth delivered her soulful version of Mariah Carey’s ‘My All’. Mira Clear showcased her vocal skills with ‘Be Without You’ by Mary J Blige.

Lammy wowed the audience with his rendition of ‘Everything I do’ by Bryan Adams, while Maio gave a captivating performance of Micheal Jackson’s ‘Heal The World’.

The 2024 edition, hosted by IK Osakioduwa, premiered in April with 9ice, Omawumi, and Ric Hassani as judges.
