The man wondered why his daughter lacked the sense to make the appropriate priorities. He also taunted her, saying she should go and “sell your body because your mates are buying iPhones”.

He expressed gratitude that she is not his only child, adding that he is unsure whether his “future is secure” with her.

“There is nothing in this life pointing to the fact that my future is secure in your hands,” the man could be heard telling his daughter in the footage.

“I do not know how my future will be with you but I thank God it is not only you that I have as a child. Go and sell your body because your mates are buying iPhone.

“Those that have admission to study medicine do not ask for iPhone not to talk of you who did not even gain admission to study Yoruba.

“Those that gained admission on a platter of gold will never ask for an iPhone because they have a future, they have aim for their lives and what matters to them is their education.

“Just gain admission, I pay your school fees and you will get out of my house. If you like to eat or don’t eat, I don’t care.

“She is already corrupt. She knows what she does on the phone, she knows what she does with her body.

“If I don’t buy it for you, go and arrange kidnappers to come and kidnap you so that you will get ransom and buy iPhone. That means a man can even deceive you with an iPhone because that is your priority.

“Do you think I will be so foolish or I don’t know what to do with the money that I will buy my daughter an iPhone.”

The video has continued to elicit mixed reactions on social media platforms.
