JetBlue Airways, a major low-cost American airline, has blacklisted Lil Pump, a US rapper-singer.

According to TMZ, a source at JetBlue said he was banned from flying the airline after he refused to wear a mask.

It was alleged that the 20-year-old singer was on a JetBlue flight from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles on Saturday when he became “verbally abusive” to cabin crew members and took off his face mask before refusing to put it back.

JetBlue was said to have called LAX Airport to have police on standby but Lil Pump wasn’t arrested on touchdown.

A source was quoted as claiming Lil Pump defied JetBlue’s mask policy, yet he sneezed into a blanket without it.

He was said to have later complied with the mask but criticised the airline on social media when the flight landed.

Lil Pump had risen to popularity in 2017 with hit single ‘Gucci Gang’, which peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified five-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

However, he has long been criticised for his hyperactive public persona, where he is often portrayed taking drugs.

In 2018, Lil Pump was arrested at a Miami airport for “disorderly conduct” as he was about to take off on a flight. He had obstructed security men who wanted to search his luggage for cannabis, insisting he didn’t have any.
