She had passed away last Tuesday from anaemia after suffering a relapse following her initial hospital discharge.

It was an emotional moment for the family and colleagues of the deceased who gathered at the burial on Friday.

“In fact, the whole family is actually troubled and quite a number of people are yet to believe that it is actually true. Quite a number of people felt she was recuperating but the news of her death is a huge shock.

“She was my niece because her father was my first cousin. She was always smiling and she was down to earth.”

Bakam hailed from Fadia Tudun Wada in Zangon Kataf LGA in Kaduna state. She studied English and Theatre Arts at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) and Digital Filmmaking at New York Film Academy.
