The movie, which starred 30-member cast and crew, was released in cinemas on Friday — after over two years of production work.

It follows the story of Bukky, a young girl, whose search for answers, leads her down a path of self-discovery. She inadvertently turns into a bucket and bonds with the most unusual characters.

The 80-minute project features several prominent movie stars including Bimbo Akintola, Patrick Doyle, Awazi Angbalaga, Bola Edwards, Casey Edema, Oluchi Odii and Francis Sule.

Blessing Amidu, the film’s producer, said the movie is aimed at inspiring hope among families following the numerous challenges that characterised the outgoing year.

“Our hope is that families will watch this film together and that the project will be part of helping to build even stronger bonds,” she said.

“2020 has been a daunting year, and as it ends, we must find ways to remind families and friends that there is hope and more joyful moments to look forward to. This is what we want to do with LBMM.”

Amidu, who is also the CEO of Hot Ticket Productions, expressed optimism that the film will encourage “Nigerian creatives to venture into the animation genre of filmmaking in Nigeria.”

It is estimated that more than $1 million (₦400 million) was invested in the production of the movie.

The film’s eventual release comes days after its exclusive screening at the Genesis Cinemas in Lekki, Lagos state.
