Atedo Peterside, the founder of Anap Foundation, says he’s disgusted that some people are apportioning blames following the death of Dapo Ojora, a brother-in-law to Bukola Saraki, ex-senate president.

Ojora, a Lagos socialite, passed away on Friday evening after a gunshot wound he reportedly inflicted on himself.

There have been conflicting accounts as to whether his death was a case of accidental discharge or suicide.

Saraki, who confirmed his passing, had stated the circumstances surrounding his death are being investigated.

But, in a condolence message on Saturday, Peterside reprimanded Nigerians who he said are busy playing the blame game.

“My good friend Dapo Ojora passed on yesterday. Rather than simply comforting his children, spouse, and family, I am disgusted that some are seeking to apportion blame,” the investment banker wrote on Twitter.

“Death is a very complex subject. Can we please just condole and support them at this difficult time?”

Peterside’s statement comes amid claim that Dapo’s death is linked to his marital woes with Patricia Ojora, his ex-wife.

It is understood that the duo had decided to separate for undisclosed reasons after their marriage hit the rocks years ago.
