In a now-viral advert of the job opportunity, the fashion company stated that the successful applicant would be entitled to a salary between N80,000 and N100,000.

The company also disclosed that the operations manager would work from 8:30 am to 7 pm between Monday to Friday.

It added that the qualified applicant would work from 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday.

According to the company, interested applicants must have experience in fashion retail.

In its job description, the company explained that the operations manager is expected to discharge about 31 responsibilities on weekly basis.

The responsibilities include weekly conduct of staff meetings; preparing daily reports, coordinating daily activities and supervising all employees; preparing staff salary schedule; conducting research, and editing articles for publication.

The job offer has, however, sparked criticism on the microblogging platform with many Nigerian users calling out the fashion company.

“Apparently, the employee will have no life. He/she will be constantly exhausted & unhappy leading to low productivity. Queries upon queries will be served. The employee becomes depressed & soon hates his/her job. There should always be a work-life balance,” a user wrote.

“This one no be job na modern day slavery,” another user wrote.

A recent study by the World Health Organization (WHO) showed that long working hours are killing hundreds of thousands of people around the world every year.
